Driving up the long & winding road to an unknown destination on a stormy May evening must have seemed for Batley Bulldogs supporters akin to driving up to Whitehaven to face the prospect of an exhausting 80 minute endurance test.
How wrong they were. The book, recently released by BISSA, has received a glowing recomendation from the 'Rugby League Journal'. 'The Gallant Youths, A history of the Batley Football Club' was republished from an original book from the late 19th century and can be read about here in this article .

Spread & Save continues into the new season with jars available at the next home match (Widnes). Jars of Strawberry & Robertsons Raspberry will be available to collect from the 'Dog House' and have been kindly donated by LONDIS on Bradford Road, Cleckheaton.
